Selling your products online can be challenging! With so many products for sale, it’s HARD to stand out from the competition. Luckily, you don’t need to be a professional photographer to take great shots of your online products. Just follow some of our product photography tips and your efforts will surely be rewarded!

Tip #1: Natural lighting is best! If possible, set up your “photo studio” near a window that lets in a lot of natural light. Otherwise, you can use lights fitted with bright white bulbs.

Tip #2: Photograph your items on a plain white or neutral colored background. The best way to showcase your item is to make sure it is front and center in your photos! A bright white background will help your camera focus in on the subject you’re photographing and enhance the details.

Tip #3: Show every angle possible! You want your customer to feel as if they are holding the item in their hand…leave them with no unanswered questions about what they are purchasing. Also, be sure to zoom in on important details!

Tip #4: Invest in a tripod! When photographing products, even the tiniest movement of your hand can make an otherwise perfect shot, blurry...we want to keep that detail! A tripod is the perfect way to keep those images crisp and clear!

Of course, if you really want to perfect your product photography, these suggestions are only the “tip” of the iceberg! (see what I did there?) The best strategy is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
